LOVE NOTES
In October 2010, Hannah Brencher started placing anonymous love letters around New York City as a way to ease her loneliness. The letters were placed in libraries, cafes and coat pockets. In one year, she handwrote over 400 notes that healed her heart and uplifted the spirits of over 400 strangers. Brechner's actions inspired a worldwide movement of spreading love and happiness through written word.
Join Hannah's cause, The World Needs More Love Letters by handwriting a love letter. Put it into a library book, on a park bench, or anywhere a stranger may find it. Your handwritten words will bring you satisfaction, knowing that you brought a ray of sunshine to someone's day. We're starting “love fest” on facebook today! Share your love letter with the GaiamTV.com community.
DAILY QUOTE“I have an interest in keeping that passion for letter writing aflame, not because it means stationery or stamps stick around longer, but because it means we are still spending time on one another in a world where we move from thing to thing so quickly.” — Hannah Brencher
