Only 19 more days till Christmas
I can't wait. Still have more shopping to do, & of course to wrap evrything up. I have started the baking. sauasge balls have been made- almost gone too!!!!!!! chex mix, I brought some of that to work to share with all the guys here. also made a chocolate creme pie. but still have to make coookies. more sauage balls. hahahah
not to much time for stitching lately. I have more ornaments to make(cloth) trying to do some tonight. at least get a few done anyways.

It's Thursday-- almost Friday

Can wait for Friday to get here & the weekend. going be cleaning up some in my bedroom this weekend. going through clothes, drawers & closet. it will probably take 2 weekends to do it all. maybe I can work on in through the week next week, we will see. I know of 2 dr's appointments next week. 1 for David, & 1 for Kathy.- this one starts her treatments.
also getting stuff ready to take to the Cleveland County fair. have to take it all on Wed the 28. wish me luck. I am def taking all the halloween stuff so far. the tablecloth, table runner, napkins, coasters, trivet, towels. Looking to finish a wall hanging tonight so I can take that with me. It has been stitched, now I just have to put the back on it.

well I have joined a new yahoo group, for cross stitchers. it's called crzyJaniary 2012. where for 15 days - you start a new project each day or if u are crazy enough 1 for all 31 days in January, you have till the end of 2012 to complete all 15 (or31)

schools back in

well DC has started his senior year of high school. So proud. he will graduate in Jan. 2012 then not long there afte will ship of to basic training. He was sworn into the US ARMY last week. he pasted all his tests I am so proud of him.

july almost aug already

Where has the time gone. I haven't posted anything in 4 months ouch!!!! you ladies should have scolded me for that. LOL
has been so hot here lately. heat never bothered me before, but it has this year, more so because of the radiation. which I am done with!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!
I really haven't been stitching much at all lately. I stitched David something for father's day, & also stitched so micro heroes- the justice league. Which pix are on the camera, just not the computer yet.. go figure -- ya'll know me. Not much computer time at home.

I hope all have been well, you all have been in my thoughts & prayers.
Thank you all for your well wishes, prayers, words of encouragement during this battle I have had, just know how much it means to me to have such friends as you.

So hard to believe but Aug is almost here.. which means the school year is about ready to start to. This will be DC's senior year.. I am so proud, he will gradute early in January after the first semester. So then in Feb or MArch he will be shipping off to basic training in the Army. He will go to mephs in Aug, for all the physical stuff & swearing in ceremony.. so before to much longer. I will be an Army momma. & so very proud of my son.

Spring

Well Spring is finally here!!!!!!!
glad to see warmer weather that's for sure.
Alot has been happening since the first of the year, much more since we got home from our vacation.
In Jan I went for a reg mammogram, came back with a lump in my right breast, I was sent for more mammos & ultrasound. we went to Washington DC the first week in Feb.
than on Feb 14 I had a biopsy, Feb 17 I was told I have breast cancer. On Feb 25 I had a lumpectmopy done. The dr did get it all out, no lymph nodes were affected, although he did take 1 lymph node out.
another Dr wanted to sent the cancer out for genetic testing, just to be sure I do NOT need chemo. Right now it looks like no CHemo. only Radation & the horomone pill for the next 5 years. which will push me into menopause-- bring it on, is all I got to say.
As far as stitching goes. For the past 2 weeks I have been working on my Halloween tablecloth hoping to have it completed today !!!!!!! Yeah.
I have finished If given enough coffee I could rule the world, 2 ornamnets & Halloween trivet, before starting the tablecloth. done since surgery(feb 25)
So I am trying to keep busy so my mind doesn't wonder to far. but sometimes when I am stitching I really don't won't to quit & go to bed, I have to make myself. then while trying to go to sleep, the mind wonders some, trying it keep it in check.
I really do not won't to take chemotherapy. Radation is fine with me or better for me anyways. (I HATE needles- in my arms) but love stitching needles LOL
will keep you updated about treatment.
Our local realy for life is in May, & the dr's office gave me my survivor registeration paperwork, so I can take the survivor lap this year. That made everything seem so real. My buddy Sandy is a survivor & she said she would walk with me on my 1st lap , hubby will be right there too. He has survived this with me, without him I would be lost! He has been a rock & soft spot all at the same time.

Washington DC

air & Space mus in dc, the american history mus,the Smithsonian castle,
the natural History mus, the ZOO, the air & space mus in Chantilly VA, the
botanical gardens, the Capital steps(can't go into the capital-unless you have
tickets from your local senators etc)
all the memorials on the mall washington monument, lincoln memorial, korean war
memorial, veitnam memorial, veitnam womens memorial.
the spy museum, the crime & punishment mus(loved this)- had a CSI expierence.
probably several others I think of at this time. still have 2 days of site
seeing left. may got to the white house. mist def Arlington National Cememtry

Washington DC OR bust

well we are on the megabus on our merry little way to washington DC.. left Charlotte NC around noon. stopped in outside of durham for a 30 min lunch break. Then picked up more in durham nc .. on our way to richmond va.. supposed to be there around 6p then on to DC.. can't wait to get there. family vacation-- but alas the son has his class to go to starting on Tuesday. then it will be just me & the hubbs.. don't know what that is going to feel like as it has been a long long time since it was just us two. will pick DC back up on Sunday feb 13 & fly back home to Shelby NC ..

more pix finishes 2011 -- so far

SNOW

we got 6" of snow here in NC early Mon morning to late mon evening.
Love to look at it. however. school has been out for 3 days now- no exams taken yet, will have to wait & see when they are going to be. I have been out of work for 2 days, we went in late on Wed 1-12-10.
Did get to get out in the snow & play in it for a little while anyways.
have got some cleaning done though, this weekend got my bedroom closet cleaned out only took 2 days. on mon did a little cleaning. tues cleaning out from under neath the sink in my bathrrrom & all the drawers, plus the cabinet over the toliet as well.
Junk can really pile up on you quik. LOL
I did get 2 halloween napkins done,(only 2 more to go) 1 halloween coaster(only 3 more to go)

New Year

Getting of to a great start this year. I have already finished 2 cross stitch projects. granted they are ornamnets for the tree, alas still 2 done.
Hope all had fun & enjoyed themselves over the holiday season.
I know we sure did.

On tap this year:

more stitching done.. lots to do(trust me)
start my HAED - Faery Tales( i know this one will take a while to get done. but have to get it started some time.
lots to stitch for Halloween as well. tablecloth, table runner, napkins, coasters, towels.

finally quit smoking (easier said than done).

Keep losing weight. I have modified my diet, & some excerise is getting in. walking more-- parking out farther etc. I have lost approx 15 lbs. more important I lose 2 pants sizes. YEAH. so got to keep losing

I did not really make resolutions. Just suggestions to myself. this way I can change them as needed.
