May 31?

it is already May 31 where has this month gone? I have been trying to work on several different projects at one time. the box- finishing a wooden box stitching painting(the box) have more stuff to paint though. hopefully will be able to do more soon. Getting ready for June: will finish box this month. Stitching: sleepy hollow, Joan Elliott's Cindrella, craft room, will rotate these big projects as well as my SAL's Painting: will get into the box & pull something out to paint. Keep up the 'baby' watch. He is not due to July 10, but he could come early. will keep all updated. Have a great day

MORE STASH

Kathy, David & I went to Gastonia on Thursday last week. I got to do some stash shopping. went to hobby lobby & pick up DMC floss for 2 different projects, more sharp needles( needed these for some of the stamped stuff I am stitching.

this is what I got at Michaels The hoops were on clearnace, along with more kits. are they really trying to phase out cross stitch stuff at Micahels? I hope not. I am going to paint the 'sheriff' badges for Colton & also make a few deputy badges for him too(so he will have one for his daddy & pappy)

box

I finished assignment #3 which was to cut out the cardboard. In this pix you see what all I am going to be using. my material, what I stitched will be the on the top of the box. I have loved taken this class, I am learning something new!!!!!!!!!!!! As you see my card table set up , darling David(DH) put it in our room so I would have a space to work on & leave stuff sitting around. plus I can close our bedroom door- so the cats can't get into my stuff. esp while painting. this is where I will set up my sewing machine when I need it too. In the background there is a green crate, it has lots of little items that I have stitched waiting to be finished.. ornamnets or in frames or whatever I am gonna do with them. So I will take next week to see if I can finish some of these.

This is Coltons birth sampler that I have been working on. I am going to add the boat onto it as well. it will go under the fishing pole, & his date of birth. (so I will have to wait on him for that part)lol

Blog Hop #2- stand or no

I do have a floor stand, with a large hoop. I will put my HAED projects in it. I also have several smaller scroll frames that I use. I do love using them while I am in a chair or just laying on the bed. my large frame I haven't even used yet! I know what am I waitng on? mainly I use my hoops for most everything though. Thursday update

Memaw had her hip surgery wednesday evening & she is doing much better. they could not put her to sleep because of her heart, but they did a spinal block instead. Her heart is enlarged in the top right quadrant. but it is beating normally now. they are supposed to be getting her up today & start physical therapy on that hip today as well. Kathy is supposed to be getting her cane today, & home health is going to be dismissing her today as well, because she is doing so well with this. I am so glad too!

this is another crazy 2012 finish. underneath is my cat Sparta, see he likes to stitch with me. lol I do have him some of his own floss to play with - so he will leave mine alone. but for the most part he doesn't bother my stitching. unless he just wants attention. on the other hand Dizzy- loves to play with all my stitching.lol but she is younger too!!!!!!!!!! lastnight I went out side & looked up & saw this a nail hanging there. it is actually in a spiderweb. but you have to see to believe:

It is gonna be a busy weekend for us, i have to clean house tonight, & tomorrow I have to start cooking, cupcakes, & sausage balls. We are have Dez & DC baby shower on Sat at my house. So it has to have the illusion of clean.lol I can't wait til baby Colton gets here, he is already being spoiled rotten & doesn't even know it yet. lol His due date in July 15, but looks like he will come before then. I will post pix of momma Dez ater the shower Sat. Sorry this has been long. I have done a few things this week. have a great weekend.

weekend update

just to let you all know Kathy is doing wonderfully! they are supposed to be bringing her a cane today, so she will forgo the walker. She is walking on her own too with no help what so ever. YEAH KATHY!!!!!!! on another note, I got a call this morning from my mom, they admitted my memaw to the hospital last night- she fell last monday & broke her hip. which she didn't go to the hospital until last night. when my aunts made her. still awaiting to see when her surgery is

I finally have finished stitching baby Sam's quilt, now to quilt it so it will be completed!!!!!!

Or maybe it was more like you didn’t get to stitch because you were busy and that created a chain reaction sense of the “blahs” and led to even less stitching…. sort of like a case of “the Mondays” that we are all familiar with. How do you handle your stitching blahs and get back into stitching mode? I have had the stitching blahs more than once. lol sometimes I put my stitching down for months at a time. Sometimes less. If I am working on a BAP, & get tired of it I try to get some smaller stitching done, ornamnets etc so I have a few finishes. sometimes I go back to the BAP & sometimes those BAP turn into UFO's I do have quite a few of those lurking around. I do sew, quilt as well. I also paint, so sometimes when I don't feel like stitching I will go & paint. Sometimes the summer is when my stitching does suffer some, because I do so love being out in the yard, garden. but this year seems to be like last year - not much doing outside yet. Sometimes it is just sitting doing a few stitches then to me it get addicting again, so back off & running I go. MAY DAY

Happy MAY DAY Everyone it is so hard to beleive that it is already MAY!!!!!!! Weather here is hot, we are in the 80's expecting to be in the 90's by the end of the week. Heaven help us. Still working on Baby Sam's blanket, almost done stitching 1 more block to go, then I can start quilting it. Hopefully it will be done by the weekend. at least I hope it can Have a great Tuesday.
