Sunday's happenings & the start of Mondays

well it is MOnday again
non- smoking is going okay. I think I only smoked 3 over the weekend.
Got up Sunday morning at 3AM to get DC off to leadership training(COHL's-is the name of it) I watched the bus pull out of the parking lot a little after 5AM.. needless to say I was a basket case. David & I went back home & took a nap. got up at 10AM & started cleaning.or at least I did the cleaning.
I cleaned our bedroom from floor to ceiling & everything in between. washed light fixture globes,wiped down walls, washed windows inside & out(just in our bedroom)- have tilt windows
washed bed clothes & remade the bed. cleaned our 1/2 bath
swept & mopped our bedroom, dc's bedroom, hall , main bath & kitchen.
took out trash
cooked supper, ran dishwasher.
cross stiched for about 1 1/2 hours bed after 11pm
but did not sleep worth a damn last night. up at 1 something, 2, 3, 4 finally alarm went off at 6-- just got up.
feed cats, got ready for work, took trash to road(garbage pick up day) put up dishes,
washed a load of towels & hung them on the line to dry while I am at work. Work 8A-1P
then back home to do more cleaning- will keep you posted on what happens next

hump day- wednesday

well here it is hump day again. I did not get much stitching in last night.
however I now have 'I didn't say it was your fault' done so I am 1/2 way there. I am hoping to finish it this week... pending no breakdowns
It has been a little over 24 hours now. since I have a cigarette. I am trying to quit, but it is hard. David is being very supportive of this(he is not a smoker)- but has been down this road with me before so he knows how hard it is.
I am taking my meds & going to the ymca to work out(helps take the edge off)
If I am going to the YMCA to get into shape & lose weight. I need to quit smoking to make it easier on myself, don't I?

monday again

here it is monday again. what a day 1st day of SUMMER YEAH!!!!!!!!
Hope all had a great weekend. for the most part we did. alas David had to work on Father's Day... but he will be off today.
We went to memaw's for lunch on Sunday-- delicious as always.
I got a pix of DC & Memaw together. he is in his BDU's . He will be leaving next Sunday morning to go to leadership training. he wil be gone for a week.
Here in NC we have been 90 or higher for 11 days now, & no end in sight. today is supposed to be 96, with more on the way for the next 7 days. So it truely is summer time in the south.
I got up yesterday & today around 5am.(helping DC getting used to getting up early- which is not an easy task mind you -- he is in vacation modeLOL) yesterday moring I started doing some stitching on something new. From X's & O's 'I didn't say it was your fault I said I was going to blame you.'
I got 'I didn't say done'. will work on more this afternoon & evening though it is stitching fairly quickly. easy to stitch, I think that is what I needed to get me back into the swing of things. I haven't been doing anything 'crafty' lately. I need to get some things done.

this weekend

I hope everyone was not as hot & humid, muggy as we were this weekend. today it's supposed to be 96 or so then add the heat index on top of that & you get 105 or so is how it feels outside.
DC & I got the concrete poured this weekend in the rut at our mailbox. other that that we did a little shopping (he drove) around town & back home again.

Last day of school this year

Well I did it. I just picked up DC from his last day of 10th grade. Now I have an upperclassmen 11th. oh my how does time fly it just seems like yesterday he was going to the watch me grow program, then Kindergarten started. & now almost 11 years later he just finished 10th grade oh my
I still broke down & cried as I let him off this morning & again when I picked him up. just in a little over a month he will be 16, and next year he will be able to drive himself for the most part (at least when there is a car available).
so my days of school bus driver are for the most part over. This I will miss.
