Kathys good news

Kathy had to go back to have another heart scan done this one was called a mugo gram or something. We did this on Tuesday this week. Took her back to Dr thompson on Wed. & today (thursday) he started her heracipin treatments back up!!!!!!!
great news, she is so glad she is going to have to start anthoer type of treatment, she has done so very well with this one.
THANK YOU ALL!!!!!! for the prayers, good thoughts, wishes & hugs over the miles, they have all been felt & are GREATLY APPRECIATED

1) I am a CSI, NCIS, NCIS:LA, Law & Order(all), Criminal Minds etc JUNKIE. can't get enough of the crime details. lol

Do you experience this same assumption from society in general that just because you’re being crafty you’re also driven by some unseen force to be in constant 1950s housewife mode? and then…. Who actually does the cooking and the cleaning in the household? I’d also really like to hear some words from the men in the crowd who stitch on this topic. What sort of societal reactions do you get and what ridiculously wrong assumptions do people make towards you when they see you working on needlework?

Most people I have some across in the past 10 years or so, just tell me they don't have the patinece to stitch, or there eye sight doesn't allow them to stitch anymore.

I wish my son would of learned to stitch.. but it is okay he didn't. My darling hubby David loves that I am so crafty.

where did this week go?

It is hard to believe tha tis is Friday much less June 15th already. only 1 month to go until grandbaby makes his apperance. I can't wait.
I never did get my stash gone through this week so I am going to do it this weekend.
David has already been told they are going to have to work on Sunday. which he really hates, but he will.
We are supposed to be going shopping this afternoon- to Gastonia. He has already asked if I need any more floss or material. Says we can go into Michales & hobby Lobby if I want. got to .love him!!!!!!!!

Box Assignmet #6

Finished assignment #6: the top of the box done.

so far this week

well-- monday it was raining here, so I called & cancelled them coming to spray for bugs. Instead I went to Lowes & bought some kids & pets friendly spray. Started in Kathys room then the bathroom & DC bedroom, the threatre room & den.
helped Kathy to vacuum her matress & box springs. then washed her sheets & put them back on the bed. We also went to the grocery store to pick a few things we were out of too. So busy Monday.
Tuesday: Had to take Kathy to x-ray for her bone scan & echocardiogram. they gave ther the shot @ 7:30 am then they did her echo. had to go back to have the bone scan done @ 11am. then we came home. then at 2pm Kathy had to be at DR thompson (oncologist) for her shots. We go back to see him on the 28th of this month to get the results of all the test. then we will know if they can start her heracipin treatments back up, or if they are going to have to change the treatment. we shall wait & see.
I did get my bedroom treated yesterday. in between the running around to dr offices. lol.
Today I plan to wash my bed clothes & rugs. & then start putting stuff back up.
I will be rearring my totes full of stitchy stuff too!!!. fun fun. I get to see what all I have lol.
also going out to lucnh today with my pal- Trouble 1- Shawn. (I am Trouble 2)
nicknames we were given in the livestrong program.
also have to do my next assignment on my box...
lots to do!!!!!!
David -(hubby) came home from work yesterday with a headache- caused by a toothache. please keep him in your prayers that we can get this fixed soon.

Happy Friday

Good Friday morning all.
I hope this finds every well.
I took Dizzy(grand cat) yesterday to be get fixed, she did very well.
however when we brought her home Sparta- wanted to hiss at her- sometimes- I am guessing he smelled something new on her & he didn't like it. oh well he will get used to it. The vet also informed us she had fleas, so I will treat both cats today, then they are coming to treat the house on Monday for fleas as well as other bugs. they have been really bad this year. So we have to clean house all weekend, & have to get everything off the floors & the closet floors as well. fun fun.
So next week I will be putting my house back togheter again, I will be going through & getting ready of stuff too!!

I was going to rearrange my stitching stuff this weekend, now I will wait till next week.
So If you don't see me online much this weekend, I am STUCK cleaning. lol

Hair cut

I decided to have my hair cut yesterday!!!!
It is so much easier to brush & wash. now I kind of have to style it lol

Wednesday update

I did do assignment 5 on my box last night, will post pix later today or tomorrow(when I remember -LOL)
I do have to work til 5p today, so it will be a little later than usual.
My mom, sis & 3 neices are headed to the beach today, as my mom stated earlier her & her girls were going to the beach. so I am here with MY BOYS!!!!!! which is really where I am supposed to be.
The cleaning up & out of my bedroom is not going fast at all. It really seems like time is standing still, because I have not gotten much done on it at all. I did have a migrane Mon evening. I could not stand the light at all , mon evening. Yesterday I shredded a bunch of stuff(old bills etc). Still have gone though all the junk mail in my room yet. So maybe I can get all that done today. & start cleaning out the drawers!!!!!!. then I am going to go through all my stash. I have to get a little more organized about where I am putting some projects that I am currently working on. Things that I want to do, & others not to do right now.

GOOD NEWS MONDAY

Got into work this morning & got some great news. I am now permanet part time. which means now I will earn sick & vacation days. YES!!!!!!!!!!! I will be a 75% employee. so now instead of work 25 hr weekly I have to work 30 hrs. So just an hour more a day!!!!!!!! I am doing the HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On another note: my memaw is going home today. from the nursing home(she fell & broke her hip last month). so today is a GOOD DAY!!!!!! happy Monday all. Hope everyone has a great day

my Chair- rearranging my bedroom

I have started rearranging my bedroom. First I moved my bed over so I could put my chair by the bed. also the light is in the perfect place now.

I also have the football foot stool. It does open up & inside I have some stash!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My table is getting piled up with alot of extras. so I am going to have to clean it off.

Blog Hop #3 Stitching goals

Do you set stitching goals for yourself and how do you plan them out? (Weekly, monthly, annually?) What are your current stitching goals (if you don’t mind sharing)? In addition to setting goals for yourself, do you have a special reward that you reserve for when you reach a stitching goal? The only thing I have every really planned out was Crazy January 2012 challenge(yahoo group). Deciding to do more than 15 projects. However. I have NOT stuck to those, I have done 2 baby blankets & Bibs that weren't on the list. 1 for my grandbaby ( due July) & 1 for Sam my cousin's baby born March- he was born premature. Cureent stitching goals: see my 2012 starts.
